Amal Raj started to work here with the cooperation of IMS Fathers of Matri Dham Ashram. Fr. Amal Raj lived in the village and had contact in 55 villages. SRA Sisters joined the ministry the following year and began to live in the village. The Diocese bought a piece of land near Chaubepur. Since the high caste did not want the Christian presence there, we could not go ahead establishing a parish there. Then the Diocese started negotiating another piece of land near Chuharpur. Meantime Fr. Amal Raj was transferred and Fr. Ishwaranand took charge of this Parish in July 1998. On March 10, 1998, Queen of the Apostles Sisters joined the ministry here, living in Chuharpur village. The station continues to be one of the Ashrams for Khristbhaktas for prayer once in a week. A small chapel is built in the ashram style. In 1998 a piece of land was bought and the construction of Priest's House, Convent and Church began. The priest's House and the convent were blessed on December 20, 1999. The Church was blessed on March 06, 2000.
