About PARISH HISTORY This centre was opened from Hartmannpur by Mount Poinsur Brothers. Fr. Remy Andrew was a great support to them. Many Capuchin Fathers of the Canadian Province have worked here. Fathers Marie Louis, Alan, Hippolyte are some of them. The first Diocesan Parish Priest was Fr. Wilfred Lewis. Major work along with evangelization in this place is farm cultivation. There is agricultural land to support the boarding house. The Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles opened the house in 1961. They work in the school and dispensary. Evangelization and catechesis is the main work of the sisters here. Construction of the Church began at the time of Fr. Marie Louis, and completed during Fr. Jean Francois' time. It was blessed on February 13, 1962. There are two boarding houses: one for boys (class I-VIII) the other for girls (class I-V).
