A need was felt to take care of the pastoral needs of the Catholics around Sarnath, Ashapur, Panchkoshi and Pandeypur. Fr. Emmanuel D'Cunha was appointed to look for a land and build the church. With his pastoral experience at the cathedral. Fr. Emmanuel asked for favour from our Lady of Fatima and soon he found a ready built house to be the church and parish. He had to modify the structure so that it could be spacious enough for the congregation for liturgical services. On August 15, 2005, the house was ready to be blessed as the church. Bishop Patrick D'Souza blessed the church and appointed Fr. Manoel D'Cunha as the first parish priest. Fr. Paschal Serrao was the next Parish Priest. On his unexpected death Fr. Pramod took up the charge of the parish priest.
