St. Teresa's Church
Church History
In 1912, the Parish of Nungambakkam was established.
It was the residence of Archbishop of Madras, Dr. John Aelen.
Mill Hill Fathers served in this parish till 1929 and later it came under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Mylapore.
Rev. Fr. R. Arulappa who was later the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore was the Parish Priest from 1948 to 1953.
