Santan Quadros as its first parish priest. It was carved out of Maski parish. Since there was no infrastructure, the parish priest had to stay in a neighbouring village chapel, until the presbytery was built in Harapur in July 1995. One of the rooms in the presbytery was used as a chapel. On 13 June 1995, the boarding home with two rooms was blessed, with 43 children on roll. A grotto of Our Lord of Ascension was built at the roadside and blessed on 24 May 1998. The boarding house was extended and the present church was built in the year 2003 while Fr.
