St. Antony's Shrine

In Salem Diocese, the Johnsonpet Parish was established in 1924. The newly built Church of St. Antony was blessed by the Most. Rev. H. E. Micheal Duraisamy, then Bishop of Salem on March 19, 1975. Later, the Parish Church of St. Antony was elevated as one of the Shrines in the Salem Diocese. On January 22, 2014, the renovation and Extention work of St. Antony's Shrine commenced and then consecrated and opened on April 23, 2016, by the Most Rev. Dr. S. Singaroyan, then Bishop of Salem. Also, the same day, the Chapel Of St. Antony's Shrine was blessed and opened by The Most Rev.S. Sntonysamy, Apostolic Prefect, Kompong Cham, Cambodia.
