St. Antony's Church
Church History
The aim and objectives of any parish are to bring about social change by living out the vision of the kingdom values of Jesus Christ.
Keeping this concept in mind the parish at Pavoorchatram was officially erected and Established During 2010.
This is to enhance the faithful to have closer contact with the Parish Priest, have meaningful participation in the liturgical celebrations, etc.
Thus they become promoters of Kingdom values.
This new Parish was bifurcated from the parish of Avudaiyanoor and Rev. Fr. Charles was appointed as the first Parish Priest.
Its main station is at Pavoorchatram and the Patron is St. Antony of Padova.

Geography
Pavoorchatram situated in the foothills of Western Ghats, between Tuticorin and Quilon highway National highway.
Pavoorchatram is 9 km (5.6 mi) east of Tenkasi and 45 km (28 mi) west of Tirunelveli, on the Tenkasi-Tirunelveli State Highway.
The nearest popular train stations are Tenkasi and Tirunelveli. Pavoorchatram has a railway station.
