To accommodate more faithful we started conducting Qurbana on all occasions (Sunday Mass, Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, etc.) in the ground. The Youth had a great contribution for conducting mass on all occasion. The first feast of St. Sebastian was celebrated in the year 1991. Our parish took initiative in conducting the first popular mission retreat in Chembur. The Popular Mission retreat was led by Rev. Fr. Jose Vettiangal V.C. & Rev. Fr. Antony V.C. and the retreat was a memorable one. The priest who served in our parish were Rev. Fr. Varghese Manavalan , Rev. Fr. Paul Madan Rev. Fr. Jose Vallavankot, Rev. Fr. Jose Aryankalayil, Rev. The St. Mary’s Church was blessed by former bishop Mar Paul Chittilapilly on 15 august 1995 and named it as St. Mary’s welfare Centre. For the welfare of the poor we started tailoring classes and nursery. We had distributed rice kit and clothes for poor on the Parish Day to make it a memorable one. In the meanwhile, we also renovated the church, as it was in a dilapilated state. Even though we are a small community of 19 families we actively participate in all the activities of our Diocese.
