Church History
Diamond Harbour centre was looked after by the priests of Morapai parish originally. Later on it became part of Thakurpukur parish. When the Pilar Fathers took over the parish at Gangarampur, Diamond Harbour came under their care for a year. On December 8, 2001 the parish of Diamond Harbour was erected and was given to the care of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Since then Fr. M.C. Francis, SDB rented a flat at Kopat Hat and started residing there. Presently parish is run by SDB fathers.
