Church History
A Christian settlement from the 18 century.
It was under the Goanese Konankuppam till 1843, when it came under Kovilanur.
This became a parish in the year 1867 or 68.
The present church was completed in 1893 by Fr. Telesphore Welter and Fr. Joseph Bardouil.
