Mary Help Of Christians Church - தூய சகாய அன்னை ஆலயம்

It was a substation of Karaikal till 1975. During June 1976 it became a parish. Rev. Fr. V. S. Antonisamy was the first Parish Priest. Rev. Fr. S. Christopher succeeded Rev. Fr. V. S. Antonisamy in 1986. He constructed a hall called 'Pascha Medai'. Holy Week is celebrated there. In 1986 Rev. Fr. D. Antony took charge of this parish. He started Boys Home and built a Community Hall. Rev. Fr. S. Maria Antony was Parish Priest from 1996 to 1999. Rev. Fr. John James was Parish Priest from 1999 to 2003. Rev. Fr. P. Dominic Savio built the new church and it was blessed on 29-05-2010 by Most Rev. Dr. A. Anandarayar. Rev. Fr. Joshua succeeded Fr. Dominic. Then Fr. L. Jarard succeeded from June 2016 and continuing till date. The 163 years old church was renovated to the amount of ₹ 1800,000 during the corona pandemic (Nov 2019 - Jan 2021). The total amount was purely by the well-wishers, donars and the parishioners only. And a new presbytery was built during the same period and both were blessed and opened on 27 Jan, 2021 during the period of Rev. Fr. L. Jarard, Parish Priest (From June 2016 - till now). Substations with Chapel: 1. St. Rock Chapel (1972), Vadamattam. 2. Sts. Peter and Paul Church (1890), Melakasakudi. 3. St. Xavier Church (1889), Thiruvettakudi. 4. St. Joseph Church (1990), Nehru Nagar. S. St. Antony Church, Thalateru.
