Selva Matha Church

Chingithurai was bifurcated from the parish of Virapandianpatnam on 23.05.2002 by Bishop Peter Fernando and was erected as a separate parish having Kombuthurai as its substation. Rev. Fr. John Suresh was the first parish priest. The Church was built in 2000 and the presbytery was built in 2002. Both the Church and the presbytery were built by Rev. Fr. Xavier George.
