Church History

Pushpavanam was bifurcated from Panagudi parish and was made into a separate parish on 17th May 2003. Rev. Fr. Nelson Paulraj was the first parish priest, who built a new Church which was blessed on 30th December 2006 by Bishop Yvon Ambroise and was dedicated to St. Theresa of Child Jesus. When Rev. Fr. Joseph Isidore was the parish priest of Panagudi he built the presbytery at Pushpavanam, which was blessed on 24th May 2003. Succession of parish priest: 1. Rev.Fr. Nelson Paul Raj - 2003 – 2008 2. Rev.Fr. V. Victor Solomon - 2008 – 2009 3. Rev.Fr. Deva Sahayam - 2009 – 2010 4. Rev.Fr. Jesudoss - 2010 – 2011 5. Rev.Fr. Rex Lumine - 2011 – 2012 6. Rev.Fr. Barnabas - 2012 - 2016 7. Rev.Fr. Arul Mani 2016 - 2021 8. Rev.Fr. Jesu Nazarene 2021 - Grottos in the parish: 1. Our Lady of Immaculate - Pushpavanam 2.
