Nalla Alosanai Annai Church

Vellapatti which was a substation to Tharuvaikulam parish was bifurcated and was made a separate parish on 8th April 2004. Rev. Fr. Augustine John Berkmans prepared Vellapatti to become a parish and made all arrangements when he was the parish priest of Tharuvaikulam. Rev. Fr. S. Amaladas was appointed as the first parish priest of Vellapatti. The Church at Vellapatti was built by Rev. Fr. John Paul and it was blessed by Bishop Amalnather on 5th November 1986. Rev. Fr. Augustine John Berkmans converted the school building into a priest’s residence, as the school was shifted to a new building. Grottos in the parish: 1. St. Antony - Vellapatti 2.
