Church History
On 5th September 2005, Most Rev. Peter Fernando, the present Archbishop of Madurai, bifurcating a portion of the area from Sivakasi parish, erected this parish of Meenampatti.
Meenampatty is 3 km. away from Sivakasi Bus stand in the Sattur Main Road.
It consists of Paraipatty, 1 km from Main Church in the west; 2 km away from Perapatty in the east.
The total population of the area is 1500 families among which the Catholic population is 250.
They are daily coolies, working at fire-office, printing press and matchbox factories.
The present parochial church was constructed in 2009.
