Established : 1931 Patron : St. Patrick Address : St. Patrick’s Church, Near Water Tank, Kanpur Road, Allahabad – 211 001 Phone : 0532 – 2560213 Religious : Nil A Brief History In the year 1880 a Chapel was built for the troops and dedicated to the Hoy Cross. In the course of years those who worked in the Railways too joined and the number increased. Thus the need for a bigger Church was felt and Rev. Fr. Joseph Caroll, OFM cap. And later Rev. Pascal Sinhalaboured hard for the church; and in1931 Bishop A. Pole blessed the NewChurch erected on the grounds leased by the Military Authorities. This Church is dedicated to St. Patrick. Its expenses were defrayed partly by the funds collected from the faithful and partly by his Lordship. It is situated on Kanpur Road, opposite to Garrison Office. When the late Rev. Fr. CajetanSaldanha was the Parish Priest, he stayed in one part of the Church till the Priest House was built along with a Parish Hall, which is at present the St. Patrick’s Nursery School with about 100 pupils.
