This station was opened by Dr. Angelo Poli in 1922. The first resident Priest’s were missionaries in the person of Rev. Fr. Celestine, OFM Cap. and Rev. Fr. Michael, OFM Cap. At first these two missionaries lived in a tent. They managed to get a plot of land but one of them fell ill so they were called back. In 1929 Rev. Fr. Anthony Bader and Br. Benedict of the Society of the Queen of the Apostles (German Missionaries) started visiting the place from Chunar. On January 12, 1931 Br. Benedict was sent there and in April he laid the foundation for the house of the missionaries and a Chapel was added to it in April 1935 by Rev. Fr. Anthony Bader. Fr. Charles D’Almeida took initiative to get the Church renovated in the year 2016. He also added a room at the back to make it a sacristy for the church.
