Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church
Church History
Fr Charles OFM Cap. who started the Mission in Ambapra was eager to do the work of the Lord. He wanted to start more and more mission stations in the neighbouring villages. So he decided to make a small hut in Amlipara as a halting station and put Fr Rosario Alphonso as its incharge. He developed this mission very well eventhough he had no mastery over the language of the place. In 1974 Sisters of the Prabhudasi Congregation also came to assist in the work of the Parish. Today Amlipara parish has a church, a school, hostel and a disepensary for the sake of the people of the area.
