Church History
In the year 1980 when Neemuch parish was handed over to Indore Diocese, work began in Chitorgarh by the efforts of late Fr Richard Coutinho. Chitor known for its fort and the importance of the railway junction, Fr Coutinho started a school at Pratapnagar. Later on he bought some land on Neemuch road and the work for a parish and school were in full swing. Fr Thomas Remigius was appointed after Fr Coutinho who saw to the construction of the new school building. Sisters of St Joseph’s of Chambery also came to assist in the parish and school activities. Fr Chacko Poriyath completed the construction of the school. Due to lack of personnel for the school the Sisters of St Joseph of Chambery and Mission Sisters of Ajmer (from 2013) decided to stop their service to the parish and the school in 2003 and 2016 respectively. itself.
