GURU CHHAYA CHURCH
Church History
Madri, a village about 55 kms from Udaipur, used to be visited by late Fr Benedict Dodiyar from Jhadol. In 1984 he bought a plot of land at Jagnathpura and built a mud house there. Sisters of St Mary of the Angels (FSMA) came in to Madri and resided there as the first missionaries. Fr James Jacob from Udaipur used to visit this mission at the weekends. A priest house was blessed on the 17th of May, 1994. Today the mission has a school, hostel and a dispensary.
