Exploration of this virgin soil was started by Fr. Varghese puthumattam in 1995. Against all odds he dared to take up residence in a simple dwelling at Sodongi near Anandpur town in Keonjhar District. When Fr. Varghese was transferred to Mitrapur in 1998 Late Fr. Arul Doss was appointed as the parish Priest. In 1999, September, 1st he was martyred at Jaboni, one of the substations of Anandpur. Fr. Arul Doss is ever remembered in Andapur mission. Jaboni is evolving to be a pilgrim centre. For a while the mission did not have a resident priest until 2003 when Fr. Paul was appointed to be the parish Pres. He contuses there the missionary activities.
