Avudaiyanoor was one of the substations of the parish of Tenkasi. It was bifurcated and was made out a separate Parish with its headquarters at Avudaiyanoor on 20th May 1981. Rev. Fr. S. Arockiasamy became the first Parish Priest of the separation and enormous development has taken place. The spiritual life of the people has in proved literary of the rate of increase.
