Via Rasra, Ballia Dt. 221712 9415971895 Religious Srs 06 About This was a sub-station of Francispur Parish. In 1976, it was erected as a separate Parish and handed over to Norbertine Fathers. After a few year they left the Parish to the care of Diocesan priests. In 1972, Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary (ICM) opened a convent there. They served the Parish till 1983. The Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles are working here from 1986. SRA sisters run a health centre. In late 80s a primary school was built under the supervision of Fr. Cyriac from Francispur. Later a piece of land was purchased to build a church and parish house out side the village. Fr. Francis Vyagappan began the construction of the church, presbytery along with convent. Thus Church building was brought outside the village for better functioning. Now it is a well-established parish with many vocations for religious life. Later the school also shifted to the newly purchased land outside the village. There is a plan to upgrade the school into Junior High School. The property in the village continue to be there.
