St. Francis Xavier Church
Church History
The station is now managed by the Congregation of St. Theresa. At first the station was visited by priests from Jodhpur who ministered to the Catholics who were working in the service of the Raja at Bikaner. Later the Raja helped the Christian community to build a Church. Fr. Joachim Coelho was the first resident Priest. In 1965 land was bought for the school and the school was opened by Fr. Cedric Fernandez and Fr. Cyriac Vally. Later the Mission Sisters of Ajmer also started a school there. In 1987 the school and the parish were handed over to the C.S.T. Fathers.
