Arockia Matha Church
Church History
Elangulam was bifurcated from the Nanguneri Mission and on the 16th September 1981, it was made into a separate parish. Rev. Fr. A. Antonysamy was the first parish priest. The Church named after Our Lady of Good Health (Arockia Annai Church), dates back to the 2nd half of the 18th Century. It was built by the well-known missionary Rev. Fr. Causanal. When Elangulam become a parish it was renovated and extended a little. The parish was entrusted with the Congregation of the Heralds of Good News for a brief period. Rev. Fr. T.
