In the year 1995, a new mission to reach out to the vast majority of non-christians in this area was started. On 27 May 1995, Fr. Antony Fernandes was appointed as the first parish priest of Kushtagi mission. On 1 June 1996, a Nursery School was started. Bishop Joseph D'Silva blessed and inaugurated the presbytery on 10March 1998. The church was built and blessed on 1February 1999. The building for primary school was built financed by Manos Unidasduring the term ofFr. Antony Fernandes and blessed by the Bishop Joseph D'Silva on 29June 2000. Fr. Francis B. upgraded the school into a High School and built an additional block.Fr. Anil Kumar added another block and renovated the church building with Govt. grant. It was blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souza on 22May 2014. Sisters of St.Ann of Bangalore came to serve in the Kushtagi parish in the year 2002. Sub stations & No. of families Tawergere ( 2 families)
