Sahaya Matha Church

On June 28th 1981, Lions Town was bifurcated from Our Lady of Snows Church parish and became a separate parish. Already in 1965 Rev. Fr. S.M. D’ Almeida had built a Church in Lions Town, which was rebuilt by Rev. Fr. M.S. Antony in 1991. And in 1999 Rev. Fr. Viagula Marian extended the Church and in 2006 Rev. Fr. G. Joseph renovated the Church. The presbytery was built in 1981 which was later on converted into a school and a new presbytery was built by Rev. Fr. Rainald Missier in 1996.
