St. Francis Xavier Church
Church History
An old Christian settlement existing from the Jesuit times in the 18th century.
For the Jesuits, Therkunam was a resting place on their way from Pondicherry to the north of the Mission, separated from Tindivanam.
The new church was built in 1974.
