Church History
There were new Christians in Tindivanam from 1877 under Anilady.
The church was built in 1925 and Tindivanam became a separate Parish.
Fr. T. G. Duffy established the D.O.S. here in 1921.
The Teacher Training School was established in 1933.
Thus, the Catholic Centre came into existence with St. Anne's High School and the Boarding House and the St. Joseph's Industrial School.
Fr. Edmond Becker and Fr. Carof established the Catechetical Centre.
The Lumen Institute was established for the CRI.
Tamilnadu Biblical, catechetical and Liturgical centre is located here.
It is one of the biggest educational centres of the Archdiocese.
The parish church was renovated by Rev. Fr. S. P Jegaraj in 2011
